Welcome to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

Chamonix is one of the oldest and most famous ski resorts in the world, sitting at the foot of Mont Blanc (4,808m) — the highest peak in Western Europe. It hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924.

Getting to Chamonix

  • From Lyon Airport (LYS): 220 km, about 2h 30 — best for international flights
  • From Geneva Airport (GVA): 88 km, about 1h 15 — the closest major airport
  • We recommend booking a private VTC transfer for a stress-free arrival, especially in winter.
